About Zakaria Sherbiny

In 2021, I started First Rodeo on the conviction that there was something missing in the landscape of leadership development for independent schools.

The world was getting more complex. The demands of leadership were becoming more stressful. Lengths of tenure became shorter, burnout higher.

I wanted to provide others what I knew I needed, but never had, in my own experience:

A confidential space to process the challenges of my role.

A place to strengthen my executive presence.

A release valve to help me manage stress and burnout.

A dedicated time to develop my strategic leadership.

Accountability for the growth that I knew I needed.

A voice to tell me what no one else around me was willing to.

I believe that coaching is central to sustainable leadership - and I consider myself lucky to serve independent school leaders in a way that helps them grow, stay, and thrive in the field.
