Working Together
Every coaching partnership is unique — but there’s a rhythm and structure that helps us make the most of our time together. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged, and equipped to lead with confidence. Here’s how the process typically unfolds:
① Chemistry Session
A No-Pressure Conversation
We’ll start with a 45-minute chemistry session to explore what brings you to coaching. You’ll get a sense of my style, and I’ll learn about your goals and context. If we both feel there’s a good fit, we’ll map out next steps together.
② The Coaching Foundation
Goals, Strengths, and Values
In our first few sessions, we’ll take a close look at your strengths, values, and leadership style. These aren’t just background details—they shape everything we do together. We’ll identify what matters most to you, where you want to grow, and how to leverage what’s already working. Your coaching journey is grounded in a clear sense of your unique profile, priorities, and needs.
Here is an example of the strengths assessment we’ll use—and what strengths you can expect from me in our work together:
③ Coaching Sessions
Regular, Intentional Conversations
When we work together, I’m committed to your success for the school year—typically September through June. We’ll start with hourly, biweekly sessions in the fall to create a strong coaching foundation, then move to monthly sessions for the remainder of the year. If additional support is needed, we can adjust our cadence.
Each session gives you space to reflect, tackle pressing issues, and create clear, actionable next steps. Between sessions is where the real transformation happens—as you turn insight into action.
④ Reflection and Adjustment
Evolving as You Lead
Coaching isn’t a straight line—it’s a cycle of insight, practice, and refinement. We’ll pause regularly to reflect on what’s shifting for you, adjust our approach as needed, and celebrate progress along the way.
Midway through the school year, we’ll gather 360 feedback from your colleagues to understand how your leadership is experienced and uncover areas for continued growth.
⑤ Completion & Continuation
Sustaining Your Impact
As the school year ends, we celebrate your progress and help you step confidently into your next chapter. Some clients conclude their engagement, while about half choose to continue — to deepen their growth or maintain the steady support of a coaching partnership.
